The kitchen club is a group of people making lunch for ikamva youth every Saturday. Every Saturday we prepare food for all learners and tutors who bring the their own plates.
We are sponsored by Jackie from Overberg Food who gives us different kinds of meats every month (for example delicious ostrich mince or chicken pieces). We are looking for more sponsors for veggies and fruits.
Some of the things we have cooked so far:
- Amaphaphu (Samp gravy and meat)
- Home made pizza
- Wild Rice with spinach and feta and roasted pine nuts
- Organic Cous-cous with butternut and sesame seeds
- Chakalaka
- African salad
- Springbok Gulash
- Ostrich burgers with home made bread
