Due to the lack of information afforded to our learners, this section serves primarily to assist the grade 11 and 12s in accessing such resources. The websites listed here range from those providing additional questions on the curiculum and past papers, to websites geared to making curriculum fun, sites with extensive career and bursary resources and much much more....
School curriculum
General
- Internet 4 Classrooms
- This site - although not a local site - has loads of useful resources for Maths, English and Physics in particular. There are many examples, and at times interactive exercises.
- Hilton College - list of resources
- Although this site is no longer being updated, in its current form it has loads of resources for a host of subjects including English, Maths, Geography and History. There are resources for both learners and volunteers. And some fantastic links to sites that make learning fun.
- Mindset
- This site has many educational tools to complement the school syllabus. There are past papers available as well as interactive learning materials. Unfortunately you can only access the materials from the website if you are using Internet Explorer.
- learn.co.za
- This site has 3 fantastic subsections of relevance: demonstrations of experiments, past papers, and some study materials on certain sections of the grade 11 and 12 curriculum.
- Western Cape Education Department Past Papers
- This site hosts past examination papers of the Western Cape from 2001 to 2005. It also provides solutions to some of the papers provided for 2002 and 2004.
Language
- Oxford English Dictionary website
- This site has information on how to improve your writing, lists of common errors and frequently asked questions about spelling, grammar, etc. It also allows you to search the compact Oxford English dictionary.
- Knowledge4Africa
- This is a fantastic English resource. It has a range of activities pertaining to the English syllabus from English vocabulary worksheets to short story analyses as well as question and answer sheets to some of the set poems and short stories.

Bursaries and scholarships
- Careerwise
- This site offers bursaries for both scholarships and technikons for South African students. The bursaries span a variety of studying degrees as they organise the bursaries of a number of different companies. Their closing date is usually early in the year so check it on early in the year!
- Bursaries on the Umsobomvu Portal
- This site has bursaries for a wide variety of study choices. The sorting by career choices makes it easy to identigy those that are relevant to the learner as well as providing the due date of applications for each bursary.

- This website holds all the information about institutions, bursaries, scholarships and jobs that ikamvanites come across. It is used by IkamvaYouth mentors and learners when planning and preparing for their lives after matric.
- Maties Career centre
- This Site has detailed information on Careers, Tertiary institutions, Job Trends and Financial aid.
- Careers in Science, Engineering and Technology
- The site has detailed information about the different courses in Engineering, Science and Technology as well as Health Sciences. It has an extensive array of tertiary institutions and other related advertisers with their contact details and links to their websites and email addresses.
