Nicolas Fritt first came to ikamvaYouth in March 2007. He was based in Cape Town through May of 2007 and has continued to support the organization after his departure. He was actively involved in many of IkamvaYouth's activities on-site including: IT classes, general tutoring, initial phases of Nyanga lab creation, and a photography project. His continued involvement has primarily been spent compiling a Poetry book that we will offer for sale soon.
When asked about what he learnt from the experience, he replied:
"That I suck at math still :) But really that the Ikamva kids and almost any learner in the Library really want to further themselves and see education as a way forward for them. Also how many computers and monitors fit in a VW Golf."
He also shared that:
"...it was a very positive and eye opening experience. I was more taken with Cape Town in general and the disparity that exists there."
