Kgoboso is one of the gold ikamvanites (learners who achieve above 90% attendance at all tutoring sessions). Gold ikamvanites get many benefits, including attending film festivals. This month, they went to the Labour Film Festival in Salt River. This is Kgoboso's essay about the film they saw.

It was a very amazing day because that place was filled with peace and I was so glad to see people uniting together as one race. It took away my guilty feelings that a black person would ever fight the black brother because of wealth and power.A person can forgive although he/she will never forget .The wrong dones to them and it mused me to see that the victims of XENOPHOBIA have moved on and left the past behind.

It was wonderful to see people bringing out their views and their side of a story, it has shown me that life is based on Love, Dignity and trust , and everybody is equal,and no one would ever be guilty unless they are proven guilty”that goes with those Somalia’s and Mozambicans who were judged guilty because of the shops they own with nothing illegal!!

The labour festival had shown me that in life you have to face the truth, because what this festival was about was the real things that happened last year. And the point is that the only way to deal with pain is to fill it. So what happened last year we will never ever forget cause its part of our lives any way LIFE GOES ON!!!!! I am wishing and hoping that festivals like this one will happen more often because we learn more on them as the youth of today!!!!
